Is there anything hypnotherapy is not suitable for?

It is not advisable to seek treatment if you are currently suffering from the effects of severe depression, if you are heavily under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if you have had and are currently experiencing a psychosis and are currently having psychotic episodes, if you have a personality disorder, if you are bipolar, have schizophrenia or have epilepsy. In these instances, please speak to your GP for referral.

I usually recommend a minimum of three to six sessions to address the route cause of the issue.

OCD:

This is something I have had many years experience of dealing with as I have lived with the condition for the best part of my life and through perseverance and introspection, managed to successfully overcome 90 percent of the symptoms. OCD is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. It can come to you in many different disguises but the wolf is really an overwhelming feeling of anxiety and fear of certain future events over which we feel we have no control. OCD falsely persuades you that you can manage these difficult feelings and obsessive thoughts through doing compulsions which only serves to increase the anxiety and the need to continue doing compulsions.

Trying to fight the thoughts and to control them makes the OCD stronger but there are ways to deal with OCD so that you can live a happier life. If you are struggling with OCD and really want to find a solution that enables you to be the person you want to be, then I would be delighted to help you. Cognitive Hypnotherapy was instrumental in helping me to overcome my difficulties and I would love the opportunity to help you too.

Work life/Balance
